Our goal is to separate emotional meaning from scientific claims clearly: the finished product is a laboratory-grown diamond—not a mined diamond, not an imitation gemstone, and not a container for biological remains.

A laboratory-grown diamond is produced using a controlled growth method applicable to the order, such as CVD or HPHT-based technology.

The grown crystal is planned, cut and polished toward the selected or confirmed shape and finished specifications.

The finished stone or jewelry is reviewed and prepared with the documentation applicable to the order before dispatch.
Scientific Clarification
Submitted material and the finished diamond are not the same thing.
Memorial material is processed before any eligible carbon contribution is used. The final faceted gemstone is a laboratory-grown diamond crystal.
Submitted Memorial Material
Eligible hair, ashes or another approved carbon source may contain carbon along with many other substances. It is not placed into a finished diamond unchanged.

Laboratory-Grown Diamond Technology
CVD and HPHT are recognized diamond-growth methods.
Laboratory-grown diamonds can be produced by Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) or High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT). Both are established methods used to grow diamond crystal under controlled conditions.
Chemical Vapor Deposition
CVD growth uses a controlled reactor environment in which carbon-containing gases are activated and diamond material deposits onto a diamond substrate or seed.
High Pressure High Temperature
HPHT growth uses high pressure and high temperature with a carbon source and diamond seed to grow diamond crystal under controlled conditions.

The exact growth route, treatments, target specifications and grading documentation
should be determined from the individual product page, order confirmation or
applicable diamond report. This page is a general disclosure and should not be read
as guaranteeing one growth method for every Black Jack memorial order.

Personal materials are handled as an order-specific submission.
Black Jack's customer-facing handling workflow is intended to keep submitted material connected to the applicable order and processing record.

An order/reference identifier is used when submitted material is received and logged.

Handling and processing access is limited according to the applicable operational workflow.

Where the applicable order requires customer-submitted material, the requested material should be sent within the timeframe shown on the product/order page or confirmed in writing. The typical 1–5 day window may be changed by written agreement.
Business Days · Typical Production Range
Current Black Jack disclosure states that memorial-diamond production typically requires 11–42 business days after required material is received and verified. Shipping time is separate, and custom specifications can affect timing.
No automatic substitution:
If required personal material is not received or the order cannot proceed as originally
specified, Black Jack does not represent that a substitute product will automatically
be supplied without the customer's explicit written consent.
Documentation & Identification
Brand documentation and gemological grading serve different purposes.
Black Jack documentation can identify the order within Black Jack's records and describe the custom memorial service. An independent gemological report, where offered, evaluates gemstone characteristics separately.
A grading report does not independently prove whose hair or ashes supplied carbon to a memorial order unless the grading laboratory expressly provides such a service and states that conclusion—which standard diamond grading should not be assumed to do.

Common questions about what a Memory Diamond is—and is not.
Is a Black Jack Memory Diamond a mined diamond?
No. Black Jack Memory Diamonds are laboratory-grown diamonds. They should not be
described or understood as natural or mined diamonds.
Is a laboratory-grown diamond the same as moissanite or cubic zirconia?
No. Moissanite and cubic zirconia are different gemstone materials. A product
described as a laboratory-grown diamond is sold as diamond material produced in
a laboratory, subject to the disclosed product specifications.
Does the finished Memory Diamond contain DNA or physical remains?
Black Jack does not represent the finished laboratory-grown diamond as retaining
DNA, biological tissue or physical remains. The finished gemstone is crystalline
carbon.
Can a finished diamond be forensically tested to prove whose carbon was used?
Black Jack does not make that claim. The memorial service relies on the order's
handling and documentation workflow; standard diamond grading should not be
understood as forensic identity verification.
Does Black Jack use CVD or HPHT to grow diamonds?
CVD and HPHT are both recognized laboratory-grown diamond methods. The method
