Every personal carbon submission should be packed carefully so the material can be identified, logged and handled under the correct Carbon Sample ID.

Secure packing helps protect the material during transit and supports Black Jack’s documented Memory Diamond workflow from arrival through processing.

Before You Ship

Order Is ConfirmedUse the order-specific instructions supplied by Black Jack.

Routing Is ApprovedEspecially important for international shipments.
Important — wait for order-specific instructions: Do not send hair, cremation ashes or another personal source to the Black Jack LLC business address, a prior warehouse or a laboratory unless Black Jack has confirmed the correct routing in writing for your order. International carrier and customs rules can differ by country and sample type.

Packing Instructions

Four simple steps for secure sample packing.

Identify

Labeling & Identification

  • Write the exact Carbon Sample ID clearly on the inner pouch/bag.
  • Use one package per order unless Black Jack specifically instructs otherwise.
  • Do not rely only on a handwritten customer name for identification.

Seal

Inner Packing

  • Place the material in a clean, dry, securely sealed pouch.
  • A small zip-lock style inner pouch is suitable unless different instructions are provided.
  • Keep the pouch tightly closed and protected from contamination.

Protect

Outer Packing

  • Place the sealed pouch inside a small rigid box or appropriately padded envelope.
  • Add soft padding so the inner pouch does not move excessively during transit.
  • Seal the outer package securely with suitable packing tape.

Secure

Privacy & Shipping

  • Do not write unnecessary sensitive or emotional descriptions on the outside.
  • Follow the shipment/reference wording Black Jack provides.
  • Use tracked shipping where available and keep the tracking receipt.

What to do — and what not to add.

Keep It Dry

Do not add water or another liquid to the sample unless Black Jack explicitly instructs you to do so.

No Perfume or Oils

Avoid perfume, fragrance oils, cosmetics, cleaning products or similar contaminants.

Do Not Mix Orders

If multiple orders or different people/pets are involved, use separate clearly identified pouches and follow the instructions supplied for each order.

Send Only the Requested Amount

Sample quantity can vary by order. Follow the quantity shown in your current order instructions instead of relying on older website examples.

International Customers

Cross-border sample shipments need approved routing.

Black Jack serves customers worldwide in supported checkout destinations, but rules for shipping hair, cremation ashes or other memorial material can differ between countries, carriers and customs authorities.

For international Memory Diamond orders, wait for Black Jack to confirm the carrier, declaration/description, destination and any required documents before sending the sample.

After Arrival

How the sample enters the documented workflow.

After the approved package arrives, the shipment is matched to the order and handled using the associated Carbon Sample ID.

Step 01 Package Received

The incoming package is received at the approved operational destination.

Step 02 Reference Matched

The package and inner sample are matched against the applicable order and Carbon Sample ID.

Step 03 Logged & Verified

Receipt/handling information can be recorded for traceability and order documentation.

Step 04 Production Workflow

The eligible material can then proceed into the applicable carbon preparation and laboratory production workflow.
